Healthways is the first solar powered private recreation centre in Australia!
Since 2010, Healthways has had solar panels installed. Currently over 100 and we’re still adding. On a sunny day the building’s energy draw from the grid is ‘nil’ during daylight hours.
We have installed top of the range water saving showers!
In 2015 top-of-the-range water saving shower heads and sensor pads were installed in our new change rooms. It is estimated that the new showers will reduce water use by 14 litres per shower, not to mention totally eliminating the issue of dripping taps and taps left running when the showers aren’t turned off properly.
The argument for businesses not installing environmentally conscious technology is always “the money”. When choosing between the environment and “the money”…

At Healthways, we have made the deliberate and conscious decision to set a ‘socially and environmentally responsible’ example for other businesses to follow.
We hope that you enjoy being a client of ours, knowing that the business you are supporting is, in turn, actively supporting the community, state, country, world you live in. Whether it’s through school/community donations, no-cost sponsored water safety presentations, or solar panels, ground source heating and heat pumps.
